Goblet of Fire

So, before I talk about the movie, I must first share my adventures in actually getting to the movie. My mother and I were going to go last night, with Grace and Anthony, and arrived at the movie theatre to find out all the showings up until the second to last one or so were sold out, and apparently had been since the day before. People, this should not be happening. The movies aren't that good. Anyway. Movie stuff.

-The scene with the Deatheaters at the World Cup was wonderfully dark and creepy. The costume designs especially - it was probably a bit risky echoing the KKK robes like that, but it played out well, particularly as that's really what the Deatheaters are

-They had new music this time! Thank god. That one theme they used over and over and over in the first three movies drove me nuts.

-I really liked the entrances of Durmstrung and Beaxbatons - nice and dramatic.

-Karkaroff has really, really bad teeth. And my brain totally veered toward Snape/Karkaroff in some of those scenes.

-Speaking of, lots of amusing little Snape moments here. I'm absolutely fascinated by him.

-I kept almost laughing when they said Moody's first name (Alastor). Thank you, DMC. Also, way to make the plot twist stupidly obvious, directors.

-The Rita Skeeter thing was also poorly concluded - I suspect people who aren't familar with the book may be a bit put off, because they introduced her, and started something, and...left it there.

-Ron is such a Krum fanboy. I love it.

-Ralph Fiennes is so good at the evil. He was awesome in Red Dragon, and he was awesome here.

-I find Draco really hot, even though he's totally just a little bitch up until book 6. The ferret scene was totally awesome, though.
