Music Post
Mostly Nocturne-related, because I keep thinking it's probably possible to do an entire SMT:N FST using only VNV Nation music, and it's been on my mind lately (in my sleep-deprived state this morning, I kept reading 'Sin' as 'Shin' on the overheads in English) - but music is music, and there aren't really any spoilers in the descriptions.
VNV Nation - Savior (Vox): For the Reason-bearers, who all think that following their god and Reason will bring them happiness, when in reality, all three are about equally fucked up (though I still love that it's the tiny Japanese schoolgirl advocating survival of the fittest)
VNV Nation - Kingdom and Kingdom (Restoration): Because both the original and the Burning Empires mix are good. This one is for the demifiend, particularly for the Reason endings, as the power of God on earth, the one who shapes the outcome of the world.
VNV Nation - Entropy: Demon/True Demon endings, possibly, although as I've yet to get either, I make no guarantees to it's accuracy. But the line 'The thought that God has taken sides, on the path to breaking down' is awesome.
VNV Nation - Voice: A more specific take on the demifiend, although you could call this the Neutral ending, too - a demifiend who doesn't want to be this idealized figure who controls the world's destiny, and would probably like things to be the way they were, thank you very much.
Voltaire - When You're Evil: Okay, we could sit around and argue for hours about whether or not Lucifer is truly evil in Nocturne, but if he's not immoral, he's certainly amoral, and has no qualms about doing what needs to be done to get his goals met. Also, this is a terribly fun song.
Enter Dante and Dante Battle: Both of these are from the bonus soundtrack disc that game with some of the US copies of the game. The whole thing is pretty excellent, but I particularly like this set.
Juno Reactor vs. Don Davis - Navras: For DDS, this time, because nothing says DDS like fast paced techno with Sanskirt chanting about being lead to truth and immortality.
VNV Nation - Fearless: My favorite song of the moment - nothing to do with SMT, just feel like sharing it again ^^
