Valentine's Day

Ah, another Valentine's Day, another year of me being single. In honor of this holiday of love, I present:

1) A new layout at the blog, featuring the lovely Hokuto. Dedication goes to all my friends, who I all love dearly, and if you guys didn't know that already, then I obviously haven't been doing a good enough job, and you need to get over here ASAP for hugs and cookies.

2) Fic:

Notes: Characters belong to CLAMP, etc. Somewhat OOC, but it was written mostly for my amusement, and entirely this afternoon, so I don't care. Based on a true story (near the bottom the entry) ^^

Satsuki looked around the room and glared. This party, in common terms, sucked. She wasn't sure who's idea this was, although she largely suspected it was Kanoe and Yuuto's. They were pleasently chatting in the corner over hot chocolate with little red marshmellow hearts in it. Seishirou was nowhere in sight, as he had said he had a job to do, although Satsuki suspected this 'job' probably involved a certain Dragon of Heaven. Kusanagi likewise was not present, although he had taken a more direct route and just not come. Someone had taken Kakyou out of his room and propped him in a chair in a misplaced act of good will, and the effect was....well, a bit disturbing, but as long as BEAST was untouched she was content to let the eccentricies of others slide. Nataku was happily sampling the many variaties of chocolate and other sugary substances avalible for consumption, while Fuuma sat across the room from her, scanning the room, face utterly expressionless. Satsuki eyed him. Fuuma took no notice.

Satsuki picked up one of the candy hearts from the bowl next to her, and examined it. It read 'U R A QT' in poorly printed English. Those Americans, they had the oddest ideas sometimes. She looked back at Fuuma, and carefully judged the distance between them. Then she threw the candy heart in a precise little overhand motion, and it collided neatly with Fuuma's left eyeball. Shock changed to anger changed to mischief as Fuuma moved quickly to retaliate. There were some little cinamon hearts by him, and Satsuki soon found herself pelted in retaliation.

Typically, due to the sheep-like nature that arises sometime in humans (as well the fact that some people are easily amused), Fuuma and Satsuki very quickly were not the only ones throwing candy. Nataku joined in, throwing candy at everyone and everything in the room. Kanoe and Yuuto became active participants after getting hit with a few of Nataku's truffles, although Yuuto largely turned it into a game of how many red and white M&Ms he could get into Kanoe's ample cleavage from a distance. Candy was flying everywhere, piling up the floors, the chairs, and Kakyou. As Satsuki went to ready another handful of candy hearts for attack, she amended her earlier thought - //Okay, so maybe this party wasn't so bad after all.//

3) For everyone who supports gay marriage...the mayor of San Francisco gets so much love from me right now.

Also, I'll be gone for the next week in Florida. I may have access to e-mail and this and LJ, but I probably will not be on AIM. Yeah, I think this kind of sucks too, except for the warm. Too much to do here @.@
