FMA: Beginning Thoughts

With video games, and books, and especially anime series, I eventually reach this point where half my friends have played/read/seen it, and I have not, and I feel the need to so I know what the hell everyone else is talking about.

...Yeah, over the weekend, I reached that point with Full Metal Alchemist ^^; So, I downloaded the first five episodes in a batch, and sat down and watched them straight through tonight ^^ So, thoughts so far. Overall? It's enjoyable, and a neat premise, even if some of the plot point were a bit predictable (The old priest who seemed so nice at first being all EVIIIIIL and the mysterious missing father). Character-wise, I don't have any top favorites yet, although I like most of them presented so far. Al is kinda cute in that little-kid way, Ed is sorta little-brotherish to me - somewhat annoying, but occasionally very cool and all around a decent guy. Roy definately seems intresting, if perhaps a bit unorthodox...I suppose I'll have to wait to see a little more of him before passing judgement.

And now, I've got a download for FMA 6 running along with PoT 107, so I shall have more anime to watch later. Eep, so much PoT to get caught up with - through 110 has been subbed, but I've only watched through 87 ^^; And then there's Loki, although I've got that on disks to watch whenever - series ended, so there's no scrambling to catch up to do.
