Mostly posted for my own reference, although I dunno, someone out there may be interested XD; Backstory and whatnot for my character, Lucia.
Born somewhere in the Seattle burbs (the ones that aren't toxic waste dumps). Not quite homeless as a kid, but definately hovering right around the poverty line - most likely single mother, doesn't know who her dad is. Pretty good with computers as as a kid (although I need to go and work out the dates, she may have been born post-Matrix 2.0 crash), although mostly just used them to play video games a lot. As a teenager, she got what qualifies for a McJob in the 2070s (given that most of what are McJobs now are at this point automated), and bought her first motorcycle when she was sixteen. It was a piece of shit, and most likely stolen (although in her defense, not by her). She ran with biker gangs on and off for the next few years, although more of the variety that rides around looking menacing and vandalizing shit than the kind that mugs people. At the same time, though, she was still a gamer, and the next step up from just playing the games is hacking them - inserting your own code and mods, and if you're a dirty, dirty software pirate like she is, helping to circumvent copy protections (because in this verse, DCMA is likely only the beginning). She got introduced to the Matrix subculture of hackers, and more importantly, discovered that she enjoyed pitting herself against other people's code. So she's stopped running with the the biker gangs, although she still mantains contacts in some of them, and is now a hacker fulltime for fun and profit. Which means she can now afford a way nicer bike (Harley, woohoo!).
Lucia's about 5'2", 5'3", fairly slightly built. Little bit stocky, but not a whole lot of muscle or strength. Thick mid-back-length hair, dark brown, bit wavy. Brown eyes, lightly tanned skin, no freckles (although a few interesting road burn scars here and there). She's pretty mellow and laid-back - not looking to get particularly rich or famous, just turn enough of a profit to live and have a good time doing so. She can hold her alcohol better than expected of someone her size, although this is still not amazingly well. She's been going by Lucia since she was nineteen, and thought that the alias sounded exotic at the time - now it seems a touch over the top, but all her contacts and ID are linked to it, so it's too late to change. She usually goes by Lu - she's used that as a nickname for a lot longer, since she was a teenager. She is actually part Italian, as well as part First Nations, and the rest is just Euro-mutt, really.
Angchak (I'm probably butchering spelling), better known as The Ork. Raised by elves, bit of an idiot, but at heart, a nice guy. Summoner of spirits, bringer of bad ideas ("I'll throw you over the wall!" "Uh...no."), and metahuman meatshield, because he's tough as hell.
Shiver, elf adept and our team's Face. Something of a jack of all trades. Also an alcoholic, flirts with anything female that moves (including Lu), but other than that, a little...off. 'Doesn't smile a whole lot' kind of thing. But as the apartment is technically his (Lu and Angchak being a little down on the cash lately), they don't ask too many questions.
More normal things to come...uh. Eventually. The internet's been down all week and I've been working, so free time = non-existant.
