I think I'm going to end up being a dissenting and say I loved it. It's up there with the original three for me, and definately better than Temple of Doom (which I re-watched the other week, and then remembered why I had only seen it a few times - it's terrible). Loved the nods to all the previous films, and Harrison Ford, amazingly, has still got the touch.
Okay, so the alien thing was a little loltastic. Now that George Lucas is rich and famous, people have trouble saying no to him, which is honestly most of the problems with the SW prequel. But! After introducing the aliens, I was afraid that we were going to end up with bad sci-fi tropes, and we pleasantly surprised at the new and interesting directions they took it. I am willing to suspend my disbelief for interdimensional archaeologist aliens. All of the action, the lines, everything was awesome - even the plot, really. It's just that aliens are the wrong flavour for the franchise - you got sci-fi in my light fantasy! So I would definitely watch it again. My fear? They'll decide to continue the franchise - but with the kid. Kid is cool, but not that cool. It's not Indiana Jones without Harrison Ford.
